The developers at Domum Holding know that the way to gain happy clients is to exceed their expectations, writes Dave Buckley.
The developers of the Meridiem Condominium project on Pratumnak are confident they have the right quality and that it comes at the right price. These are a given, they feel. But still that is not enough for them.
So Domum have decided to offer owners in Meridiem some very worthwhile extras. Not just as a one-off, but each time they arrive – which could be as often as once a week – for at least the first five years of ownership. They call it their “Take Care” package. And the big plus is that it’s free!
The developers plan to take care of the following:
l Provided owners give a couple of days’ notice Domum will put a pre-agreed ‘basket’ of items in the fridge to await their arrival. That includes, beer, soft drinks, fruit and the like – at no charge;
l A once-a-week maid service will also be provided;
l Plus they will take care of owners’ utility bills. The owners will pay the money, but the inconvenience of travelling to
pay the bills will be removed.
I have not come across an offer like this before except maybe in serviced apartments.
The package is available to owners only. “We had to draw the line somewhere,” said a spokesman for Domum. “So the free ‘Take Care’ package cannot be passed on to any tenant.”
I asked what happens if the owner is in the habit of visiting every Friday just for the weekend? “The offer is available every seven days,” said the spokesman. “So, if they come every Friday, that’s fine. The package is aimed at them. If they come on a Friday, leave after a couple of days then return on, say, the Wednesday the package would not be available until next time. It’s a ‘welcome’ package so, if they stay continuously for a month they only receive it when they arrive.”
What’s on offer? “Provided owners let us know they are coming we will put the agreed contents in the fridge. The maid will clean the apartment and we will do things like putting the
air-cond on before they arrive.
Empty perishables
“When they leave we will take care of the trash, check all the electrics are switched off and empty anything out of the fridge which may perish.”
This service will be available for the first five years. Then it will be up to the juristic body to decide if they wish to continue.
Meridiem is an eight-storey condo consisting of 70 apartments ranging from studios to a single penthouse. The showroom for it is on Thappraya Road about halfway between the Mokador Cafe and Mata Hari restaurant.
If you want to know more about the “Take Care” offer and see the showroom pictured here for yourself, I suggest you make a visit. Ω
