Companies shortlisted for recognition in the annual Thailand Property Awards will have to wait a little longer to discover whether they have been successful.
This is because the awards, which were to have been handed out on the 5th of last month at Bangkok’s Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, have had to be put back to the 6th of this month due to flooding in the capital.
Among the local companies in with a chance of success are the Nova Group. Two of the three projects named in the Best Condo Eastern Seaboard class are theirs – The Cliff and Nova Ocean View.
The Tropical Dream Condominium on Pratumnak completes the trio in line to be voted the Eastern Seaboard’s No 1.
Other notables with a Pattaya connection to have reached the final stages of the awards include the following:
Raimon Land – listed in the top four for best developer.
The Vineyard, Sedona Villas and Palm Oasis Jomtien who are all shortlisted in the Best Villa Eastern Seaboard class along with Soneva Kiri by Six Senses Resorts and Spas which lies on Koh Kood.
Horseshoe Point are nominated once again in the Best Green Development Class. HSP have won this for the past three years so maybe somewhere else will get a look in this time. Or maybe not! Soneva Kiri, whose name appears often on the list, are also nominated.
Did well last year
Colliers International (Thailand), who fared well in last year’s awards, get plenty of mentions on this year’s list. Colliers join Jones Lang LaSalle (Thailand) – who opened a Pattaya office recently – and CB Richard Ellis (Thailand) – who closed one, on several shortlists. The three companies are the only names that appear in two classes – Best Commercial Agent and Best Property Management Company.
In addition Colliers and CBRE are listed for Best Residential Agent (Resort) and Best Property Consultancy. For Best Residential Agent (Resort) the duo are joined by Premier Homes Real Estate Co Ltd; for consultancy, the third company under consideration is Aquarius Estate Co Ltd.
CBRE and JLL combine with Savills (Thailand) in the Best Overseas Property Agent class and CBRE and JLL are also in the running for the Best Property Website award alongside The Village, Coconut Island.
Habita, architects for Soneva Kiri by Six Senses Resorts and Spas, are in the final three for Best Hotel Architectural Design and Best Residential interior Design.
We wish all of them well on the 6th. Ω
