Country Properties have been given the go-ahead to build new state-of-the-art offices (see above) in Bang Saray.
The idea for them came from director Craig Rhodes. Craig has more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry and had been working on this idea on and off over the past three years.
Craig said: “I truly love architecture and playing around with unusual designs, I like the challenge of working on all of my concepts, this way I know I will get exactly what I require, I am a stickler when it comes to detail, this on any project I participate in.
“I usually start by putting down the basic outlines on to my computer, then I will spend weeks playing around with details on the floor and elevation plans, this to suit the best workable space for the area given, I will redo this time and time again until the concept is right for what I desire.
“The next stage I use my architects and civil engineers to make sure the concept and materials being used work correctly and pass all district building regulation codes! So it’s evident I’m happy in executing from the onset, through planning and will oversee on all the construction for this new land mark, it was also pleasing these unique plans were passed straight away by the Bang Saray Municipal District without any modifications being addressed in the 3rd quarter of 2009.”
Craig plans to start the project in the second or third quarter of this year. One reason for taking three years to get planning was the slowing economy.
“I feel the worst of the recession is over and believe now is the right time to move forward in strengthening our business plan,” said Craig. “I believe the office will take approximately nine months to complete and expect the overall cost to be in the region of Bt20m.
