When a consultant for the Ratanakorn Asset firm of developers asked me to visit their offices in South Pattaya Road to discuss marketing plans for their Life Star City Tower project I was intrigued, writes John Davids.
To be honest, I hadn’t heard the Ratanakorn name before and that is a shameful admission to make. Why? Well, now I am aware of them I know they are one of the biggest, if not the biggest developer in Pattaya.

Confession time over. Now I am aware of them I see the name everywhere. Just look at the statistics in the panel on the far right and you will see why.
If, for the past 16 years since the company was founded, Ratanakorn Asset have been keeping a low profile that is all to change soon.
Newly appointed director of sales and marketing Mukesh Thakkar has made it a No 1 priority to raise the profile of Ratanakorn to one of the leading developers in Pattaya City.
This month will see the launch of Life Star City Tower which is due to complete in 2012 and, within weeks, a new central high-profile sales office will be opening 100 yards away from the site of the new tower.
The sales office will feature a show unit for the tower but the office will market all of Ratanakorn’s projects – and there are many of them.
Mukesh is relishing the new challenge and says: “It’s an exciting time for us. The Life Star City Tower will be the tallest condo block in the central area of the city and the new sales office is in the right location to attract interest from both foreign and Thai buyers.”
He added: “We are launching the tower project this month and the showroom for it will launch on the first of next month (March).”
The tower will feature an activity area on the 15th floor which will afford residents sea views and views to all parts of the city (see artist’s impression alongside). The tower will even have its own helipad which might help attract increased interest from Bangkok-based professionals looking to weekend in their own Pattaya apartment.
Ratanakorn markets its projects under several different brands such as Life Condo (the name the City Tower will appear under), TW Condo, Ratanakorn Home, TW Home, RK Plaza and R-Con Hotels.
