......Construction work at The Cove condominium development at Wong-Amat Beach is progressing at a rapid pace.
We attended a Valentine’s night party at the development and were told that the floors were being erected at the rate of approximately one every 10 days.
We saw that the building was on the 12th of its 17 floors and the top floor is expected to be reached next month (April).
Not bad for a building where work only began last August. The Cove is, of course, helped by the fact that its developers have their own funding so construction is not dependent on payments either from buyers or bankers for progress.
“We have a great team of builders here,” said Jens Klein, Petch Property Development’s sales & marketing manager. “They really do work as a team and they are dedicated to doing the job well.”
To describe a building site as “neat” may appear as something of an oxymoron but all seems orderly and as tidy as it can sensibly be at the five-star condo development where 103 spacious units are going up.
Finishing date for the luxury condos is due in the first quarter of 2010 so it is five per cent ahead of schedule.
A final word from Jens: “We are planning a topping-off party where we be celebrating the completion of the shell. I’m sure investors will be happy to know the advances we have made.” Ω
