Butterfly-wing roof tops off six star condo...

......Regular readers of this magazine will probably be aware of the reasons why the Pratamnak area is especially sought after, writes John Davids.
It’s handy for the beaches at both Pattaya and Jomtien; is well served by restaurants and bars and yet it still manages to maintain an air of peace and quiet while all that Pattaya has to offer lies just minutes away.
Given all these attributes it is hardly surprising that land there is popular with developers such as Tropical Dream Pattaya Co Ltd, a subsidiary of GK Bangkok Co Ltd, who are building a 79-unit condominium on Soi 3 not far from the Royal Cliff hotel.
Tropical Dream is described as a six star condominium and many of its units will enjoy panoramic sea views out to Koh Larn; others will have either garden or pool views.

Large balconies
All units in the six storey, three rai development will have high ceilings – three metres – giving a spacious ambiance. Each will also have a large balcony and the whole thing is going to be topped off by a distinctive, butterfly-shaped roof.
Units available will range from studios to three bedrooms with prices starting at Bt2.844m and going up to Bt13.896m. These figures represent a substantial saving against list price and are unlikely to be offered over a long period.
“I suggested that prospective buyers act quickly to get these prices,” said Michel Urai, who is general manager of the development. He and his sales team can be found at the off-site showroom in Soi 6.
“Each unit will be stylishly presented by our interior designer,” he added.
“Tropical Dream is fully equipped with custom-fitted kitchens and bathrooms of the highest quality.
“Large windows will overlook the 64 x 14 metre salt water infinity-edge pool and the sea views will be spectacular. Those residents who don’t wish to venture too far will have a huge, lush tropical garden right on their doorstep.”
To get an idea of how the garden will look you should visit the showroom as the area around it has been landscaped in keeping with how the finished project will appear.
“The project is being built on three rai, many developers would try to put a building like ours on a plot half that size,” said Michel.
He told me: “We will install many hi-tech solutions with a view to keeping the maintenance fee lower than most comparable buildings.
“A European engineer is supervising all aspects of the construction. In Pattaya you can see many buildings that look nice from afar but have flaws when you see them close-up.”
Other amenities planned for the project include a fitness centre plus coffee shop, pool bar and laundry. Ω
