Many readers will know the success stories of the Wandeegroup architect and construction company located on Thappraya Road. It must be said that they are true: This office continuously comes up with new creations and building designs, even in times the local market is shaky. Over the next few months we will follow up on their construction sites and see what the reality is.
I-Condominium
on Pratumnak Hill
The design brief Mario’s clients gave him was simple: the project had to provide single one-two storey homes with pools for sale and should not cost more than the budget given to him on date of signing the contract.
Whether four-six houses or one big house ... Mario was unphased and came up with a optimised solution: “Condominium units are perfect; they can be sold without having much paperwork,” he said.
360 degree views
When we spoke to this man, he showed us many designs and projects that are previously unpublished, but are progressing. He said: “Design is a combination of aesthetics and intelligence”. What you see on this page are solutions that can only impress. The I-Condominium project is combination of steel and glass with incredible cantilever overhangs of 6.0 meters and 360 degree open windows.
Two buildings – one permit
It is unique, not only for its design here in Pattaya, but also the permit they submit: 51/49 per cent ownership for a condominium that doesn’t looks like a condominium and which provides separate entrance areas, garden and roof pools. It is designed like two single townhouses with each two-four units – and that is unique for Thailand to date and is so commended by the authority and city planning department.
South Beach Condominium
Very different but one that follows the thinking of creating a project of smartness and beauty is the new South Beach Condominium. The layout for this classic eight-storey building was chosen to bring the buyers a maximum on view over Pratumnak Hill and its surroundings.
Clean and minimalist design with high ceiling and lots of glass in each unit.
Most balconies were removed and integrate into the rooms, as Mario has done this in one his earlier creations the Park Royal Condominium on Pratumnak Hill, Soi 1. South Beach will be on Soi 6.
When you understand that Mario and his staff work with knowledge and true understanding of architect design and engineering 15hrs/day it is easy to see why the projects designed by them become successful.
