......Freshening up the Northern Thai office opposite the Royal Garden Plaza in Second Road is something John Seymour had been planning since his took the MD’s chair at the brokerage last March.
Trouble was, to do the job properly was not going to be a two-day wonder – not even in Thailand! So he had to bide his time and wait for the Christmas and New Year break to find a big enough gap to close the office and let the builders move in.
It seems to have been a move that has immediately paid off. “We’ve definitely noticed an upturn in people visiting our offices since we re-opened in January,” said John. “The change had been a while coming but now I’m very pleased with the result.”
Main changes were the replacement of the office signage, changing the carpet to light, bright tiles, and hi-speed wi fi throughout the building.
John added: “I think the enforced break has helped us all. Things were quiet before Christmas but the combination of a fresh look to the office and a rested staff is reaping benefits.”
Would he close for 10 days every Christmas in future? “I’ve got a nice condo I can offer you,” he joked as he nimbly sidestepped the loaded question. Ω
