Diamond Suites live up to their quality name

Think of diamonds and you think about quality, glamour and high prices. Well, at the Diamond Suites Resort Condominiums off Trappraya Road the first two attributes are true but, thankfully, the third isn’t, writes John Davids.
Certainly the quality is there in the common areas and the suites themselves. “We don’t sell shells,” said director of sales and marketing Nicolas Ihle. “We want owners to enjoy their units and not have neighbours carrying out extensive and noisy work to get their units ready.”
Diamond Suites come with fitted European-style kitchens, fitted bathrooms and all the flooring fully laid. Fitted wardrobes are an optional extra.
“Loose furniture is, of course, to the owner’s own taste,” added Nicolas. “But, apart from that, the units come ready to move in.”
Owners in the first two of the seven planned condo blocks (A and B) should be moving in early next year. Construction work has already started on blocks C and D and the developers are looking at the end of 2010 for completion of those buildings.

Tranquil setting
Diamond Suites benefit from a good position between Pattaya and Jomtien in a quiet area which enjoys a comparatively low crime rate. They lie in a basin with views to Pratamnak (Buddha) Hill.
Considerable thought has gone into the planning of the project. Much care has been taken over the common areas with water features in abundance. Lagoon and infinity pools join waterfalls, Jacuzzis and a children’s pool to cater for everyone’s needs.
Add to the above a state-of-the-art fitness and sauna area, a 360o panoramic roof terrace, wifi access plus shops and a restaurant (in block C) and a picture of what life there is likely to be entail emerges.
In addition the plan is to have a hotel-style management system in place to care for residents. “They will look after in-house rentals and perform after-sales services. In many respects it will be like a serviced apartment,” said Nicolas.

Family owned
The project is being developed by a family-owned company, Kiyana Co Ltd. The family has other ventures in the area – the Diamond Beach Hotel, Diamond Badminton and the Diamond City Place – so the Diamond name is well known in the city.
“Diamond Suites Resort Condominium will be a gated community with a two metre-high wall all round,” added Nicolas. “Residents will need a keycard to enter. There will be CCTV surveillance in addition to the protection of security guards who will patrol the site and not just sit in the main office.”
The whole concept is to give buyers what they want at an affordable price. The prices start at less than Bt2m for a studio, rising to a little over Bt6m for a top floor two-bedroom corner unit.
Diamonds aren’t forever so we suggest you visit soon before your preferred unit is snapped up. Ω
