    The stats that count.

Let’s be honest here, spectacular is something of an overworked word when it comes to trying to describe some of the city’s views, writes John Davids.
But, truthfully, I’m stumped to come up with anything else when considering the sights that greet visitors to the show apartments of Ocean Portofino (OP).
The OP tower lies just a little way down the coast towards Bang Saray past Ambassador City and is right next to Ocean Marina.
Views down the beach in either direction are among the big pluses of the condo development which has been designed to ensure that every apartment looks out to sea. The interiors of the show apartments on Floor 21 are not short of their own selling points, either.
All boast big balconies from which to savour the sights and are beautifully laid out so maximum use is made of the available space without becoming cluttered.

Attention to detail
The whole ambiance is a delight and everywhere you see the kind of attention to detail that will impress prospective buyers.
Fruit bowls always seem to be in the right place, small decor-enhancing statues and carvings abound, and mirrors are used cleverly to give an extra feeling of spaciousness. Note that many of the showroom’s fixtures and fittings are not standard.
Bathrooms are attractively presented with high-end materials in evidence everywhere; bedrooms look relaxing and inviting; the living areas appear comfortable and homely; and the kitchen areas are unobtrusive and well equipped.
Yes, everywhere you look is a true delight.
And let’s not forget, of course, the marina that sits in front of the whole development. Reality is, you don’t have to be interested in yachting to enjoy the best that OP has to offer. But, if you are a keen mariner, what more could you want than to own a tastefully presented apartment just 100 or so metres from the 200-metre long private marina frontage?
Owners can gain membership of the Ocean Marina Yacht Club at discounted rates. The club includes a fine restaurant, library and sports complex. The sports complex includes squash, tennis, a gym, saunas and indoor and outdoor pools. The pools are in addition to OP’s own infinity pool.
The OP tower was completed in the middle of last year and comprises 268 units over 37 storeys. The maximum number of units on each floor is eight and many have just six. Apartment sizes range from one to four bedrooms and prices start at around Bt7.5m and the top figure is a little over Bt50m.
Nusara Banyatpiyaphod, president of developers, Ocean Property, said: “Like its sister tower, the San Marino, Ocean Portofino takes luxury condominium living to brand new heights.”
I wouldn’t be surprised to see OP feature in the upcoming Thailand Property awards. Ω
