.....Many of the film buffs among you will be aware of the inspiration for the headline above. It is (with one small word change*) from the Kevin Costner movie, Field of Dreams.
It just seems to me an appropriate way of describing the approach of developers Logans to their Avatara condominium project at the southern end of Jomtien Beach, writes John Davids.
Logans decided to build the condo first and only started offering it to prospective buyers last December when the structure was virtually finished. Now the building – barring a little tiling, painting and decorating – is ready to move in.
“The structure is complete,” said Pasi Marjamaki, Logans’ sales manager. “We just need to get the registration paperwork sorted out. I hope this will be done by the end of April.”
Pasi told me that all unit types at all prices – they range from Bt 3.245m to Bt 6.3 – are available for viewing now.
“We have not put in the kitchens as we want to give buyers the opportunity to either chose one of our designs or install their own,” said Pasi. “If they want to pick their own we will deduct the kitchen cost from our asking price.”
Logans’ kitchens (a typical example is seen below) take about a month to deliver and erect.
The previous time I visited the project the gym equipment had yet to be delivered. It is there now and, as the picture above shows, those who want to work out in the gym will be greeted by a superb view down the beach towards Na-Jomtien and the curve in the bay.
The gym sits very close to
the rooftop pool and spa bath which are a great feature of the building as they really do “top off” the building nicely. Being able to sit close to the pool watching the sun go down is a delight.
Of course, a key selling point for the 30-unit condo block is that it is actually there – a plus that Logans are keen to emphasise.
You do not have to try to calculate what 58 sqm or 67.3 sqm (the largest and smallest dimensions of the one-bedroom units) looks like. You can see the actual apartment you are interested in. It’s a “have your cake and eat it” scenario that removes some of the perceived uncertainties of buying off plan.
Avatara can be found 50 metres inland in an unnumbered soi 300 metres past soi 19 on Jomtien Beach in an area where restaurants (notably those specialising in fish) are flourishing.
